Housing

Equitable Housing

San Diego’s housing affordability crisis is severe. Expanding cooperative and community land trust models to counter rising rents and displacement is key to creating equitable, long-term housing stability. Our goal is to craft policy to reduce dependence on volatile private rental markets.

Privacy

Privacy Autonomy

Understanding how residents are impacted by increasing data collection in public spaces, smart city infrastructure, and surveillance technologies is imparitive for a safe and just society. By examining gaps in data governance and emphasizing the need for transparent policies, we can build community-centered privacy frameworks that ensure technological progress does not erode individual rights or trust.

Transit

Efficient Transit

Long commute times, limited east–west connectivity, and service gaps disproportionately affect San Diego's low-income and transit-dependent communities. Inadequate funding, car-oriented infrastructure, and limited regional coordination hinder system reliability and accessibility. We're researching solutions to create a more fair, efficient, and climate-resilient transportation system for all San Diegans.
